This documentary style film was created as part of our ongoing work with Flynn, a long standing client for whom we've produced a wide range of content, from social media campaigns and promotional films to event content and social value stories.
For this project, we wanted to take a different approach. Rather than creating another corporate video, we developed a "day in the life" documentary following CEO Aidan Flynn, giving audiences an authentic insight into the person behind the business and the values that drive the company.
Filmed in a fly on the wall style, we followed Aidan throughout a typical working day as he visited live construction projects, met with government representatives and spent time at a local school supported through Flynn's social value initiatives. By observing rather than directing, we captured genuine conversations and moments that revealed both the scale of the business and its commitment to the communities it serves.
The finished film demonstrated that long form content can be highly effective when it is built around a compelling story. Running at around 15 minutes, the documentary kept viewers engaged through strong storytelling, natural moments and cinematic production, proving there is still a place for deeper, more meaningful content within a modern social media strategy.
More than just a company film, it became a powerful brand piece that humanised the business, giving clients, partners, prospective employees and stakeholders a genuine insight into Flynn's culture, leadership and values. It reinforced trust, showcased the company's commitment to excellence and community, and highlighted the people behind the projects.
Drawing on our documentary background, we were able to craft a film that feels authentic rather than promotional, creating a lasting asset that continues to help Flynn stand out in a competitive construction sector.
