Farrans Sacyr JV commissioned us to install a long term time lapse camera to document one of Belfast's most significant infrastructure projects: the demolition of the historic Durham Street Bridge and the construction of the new approach into Belfast Grand Central Station.
As a flagship project for both the joint venture and Translink, it was essential that the transformation was captured to the highest standard. Our role was to create a complete visual record of the works, from the bridge demolition through to the reconstruction of the new road network serving the station. Using our professional solar powered time lapse system, we were able to monitor the project continuously for around 18 months. The camera provided secure remote access, allowing us to check performance 24 hours a day, capture additional images whenever required, and quickly supply up to date visuals to the client throughout the build.
Alongside the time lapse, we also captured aerial drone footage and produced additional project content, giving the client a comprehensive library of visual assets. Together, these films documented the scale, engineering expertise and craftsmanship involved in delivering one of Northern Ireland's most important transport developments.
The finished time lapse has become a valuable record of the project and an ongoing marketing asset that can be used across presentations, social media, stakeholder communications, award submissions and future bid proposals. It's a service we're proud to provide and one that has become an important part of how many of our construction clients document and promote their projects.
